BSI & Must-See Movie

This month's Books Sandwiched In program will feature Judy Braymen sharing about Alexander McCall Smith's books. Drop in with your lunch and hear all about it Thursday, March 19 at noon! Then, at 1:00, you can stay for the March Must-See Movie - a John Wayne classic set in Ireland. The Quiet Man is free and open to the public - and the popcorn is on us.

Teens - Dueling DVD Duos

Teen Tech Week is almost here! Starting Monday come to the library to vote for your favorite DVD Duos. The library will purchase the top two winning duos. Vote early and often - you can vote once a day! Check out the table in the teen area or the teen page on the website for more details about the duos. Come in and Press Play at your library.

Book Lover's BINGO

It's back! Once again, we're playing Book Lover's BINGO at the library. Come in to pick up your BINGO card, then read books to match the categories between March 2 and April 17, 2009. When you've got BINGO, turn your card in to be entered in the Grand Prize drawing. If you have questions, just stop by and ask, call us at 712-246-2315, or e-mail shencirc@heartland.net. Play Dominoes

This week's cozy Saturday will be Dominoes for Beginners. Lenny Drake will teach participants how to play Mexican Run dominoes, and then play will begin! Make sure to call ahead to sign up. The event starts Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2 pm.

New at the library website: TumbleTalkingBooks. You can listen to audiobooks streamed to you through your computer. There are both fiction and non-fiction titles, classics, and books for kids. Cozy Saturdays

If you signed up for Beginning Knitting this week, make sure to come to the library auditorium at 2 pm for Sonya Jones's presentation.
