Online Practice Tests class

Are you getting your GED or going back to school and taking your ACT or ASVAB? The Shenandoah Public Library can help! We've got online practice tests to help you get ready for your next step. If you want to find out more, we're holding classes to show you how to access this great service. The classes will be November 13 at 9:30 am and November 14 at 11:00 am. Teen Costume Contest this week!

The Out-of-this-World Costume Contest starts this week - I'll be taking photos of teens in their costumes Thursday afternoon after 4 and Friday all day. For more information, visit the teen page on our website or come in to the library.

Booksale opens Saturday!

Come one, come all, to the Friends of the Library Annual Booksale! Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at 10 am, the doors will open. Thousands of books, movies, CD's, and audiobooks will be offered for $0.25 each. Come see what treasures you can find!

Storytime Friday

Miss Liz invites preschool-age children to come to her storytime this Friday, October 16, at 10 am in the Story Garden.

Correction - Books Sandwiched In

Carrie Falk will not be presenting Books Sandwiched In this month. Shirley Teachout will be bringing you her literary experience at noon today.

Books Sandwiched In (but no movie this week)

This Thursday, October 15, the library will host "Books Sandwiched In," featuring Carrie Falk presenting this year's All Iowa Reads title: The Rope Walk by Carrie Brown. Come at noon with your lunch, and we'll provide the coffee and entertainment. This month's Must See Movie will not be held immediately after Books Sandwiched In as per usual, but will be held Tues. Oct. 27 at 1 pm.

Are You Game? - Wed. Oct. 14

Teens - This Wednesday, Oct 14, is Are You Game? Come to the library at 2 pm for games, snacks, and fun!

Donate to the Book Sale - Oct. 12

The Shenandoah Public Library is hosting our annual book sale. We will accept donations of used books to sell starting Monday, October 12, 2009. Contact the library if you have any questions.
