Cozy Saturdays

Saturdays in February from 2-4 pm, the library is hosting workshops on a variety of hobbies. The first will be Tabletop Gardening, followed by Dominoes, Fabric Purses, and Wire & Beaded Jewelry. Space is limited, so make sure to sign up at the library desk to reserve your spot and pick up materials lists for some projects. Check out the Events page for more details or stop by the library.

Books Sandwiched In & Must See Movie

Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, will be the first Books Sandwiched In and Must-See Movie of the new year. Edy Shull will share a favorite book from noon to 1 pm, and then we'll show the Alfred Hitchcock classic "The 39 Steps" on our big screen. Hope to see you there! (Attendance at either event counts as a book for Dewey or Don't We)

Are You Game?

Teens are invited to the Library north room today, Wed. Jan. 20 from 2-3 pm for Are You Game? We'll have board games, snacks, and fun!

Dewey or Don't We

This year the Winter Reading Program for adults is called "Dewey or Don't We." Dewey readers will read non-fiction, while Don't we readers read fiction. Check out the Events page for all the details and to print out the form or stop by the library!

Magazine Giveway - Sat. Jan. 16

Come one, come all! The Shenandoah Public Library is giving away magazines from 2007 - free - on a first-come, first-serve basis. The doors to the library auditorium will open at 10 am on Saturday, January 16 and remain open until we close for the day at 6 pm. Up until Saturday, we are also accepting donations of magazines to give away - no more than 5 years old and no National Geographic or news magazines.
