Storytime Friday

Preschool storytime is here again!  Friday, February 26 at 10 am, Miss Liz will have her storytime about kittens.  Bring the kids to the story garden for stories, songs and more.

Last Week for Dewey or Dont' We

It's the last week for the Adult Winter Reading Program - Dewey or Don't We?  Make sure to finish up your logs by Feb. 27th and turn them in to pick up your prize, post your name on the window, and get entered in the grand prize drawing for $25 in Chamber Bucks!

Fabric Purses - Saturday

This week's Cozy Saturday will feature "Fabric Purses" taught by Carolyn Steinbrink. There are still slots available in the class, but participants need to be "competent" in sewing and need to bring all the necessary items on the materials list. Books Sandwiched In & Must-See Movie

The third Thursday of the month (Feb. 18) means it's time for Books Sandwiched In & our Must-See Movie. This month BSI is hosted by - everyone! Bring whatever you're reading right now- what's on your nightstand - to share with the group at noon in the auditorium. The Must-See Movie will be the classic musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" shown on our big screen.

Special Library Board Meeting

The Shenandoah Public Library Board of Trustees will meet in a special session this Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at a special time: 4:00 pm in the library auditorium. Discussions will continue on the funds available from the USDA. See the agenda on our Board Meeting page.

Book Club tonight

Tonight, Feb. 11, the Reading Club will meet at 7 pm in the North Room to discuss "Just Call Me Stupid." Anyone is invited to come try out the group and pick up next month's read, "Standing in the Rainbow" by Fannie Flagg.

Dominoes on Saturday

There are still a few slots open for the Cozy Saturdays: Dominoes for Beginners hosted by Donna Currie & Connie Stange. It's this Sat. Feb. 6 from 2-4 pm. Sign up at the library desk!

Library Board Special Meeting

The Shenandoah Public Library Board will be meeting in a special session on Wed., Feb. 10, 2010 at 4:30 pm to meet with a representative of the USDA to discuss the stimulus funds available through that body as applies to a future library building addition.
